The Earth's Magnetic Field.

Have you ever wondered what causes the Earth's magnetic field?

Scientists first thought it was permanent magnetism in the rocks. That was soon discounted as it is easily proved that above a certain temperature (Curie point temperature) magnets lose their magnetism. This temperature is reached near the Earth's surface.

Another theory is that the thermal convection currents of hot molten iron from the centre of the Earth rise to the surface of the molten part of the core, cool down and then sink back to the centre. That is a perfectly reasonable theory.

Evolutionary scientists say that these convection currents carry charged particles which then create the magnetic field.

So why do evolutionary scientists stick to these absurd beliefs? It is because the only theory that holds any water presents an inconvenient truth for evolutionists.

The Earth's magnetic field has been measured over a period of years to be decaying exponentially with a half life of approximately 1400 years. That means that after 1400 years the field is half as strong as at the start of that period.

We can simulate that in a laboratory with a circuit as follows.

In this circuit the switch is moved from position 1 to position 2 at t=0

This means that the battery has started the current flowing and then is removed from the circuit. We then have

L.di/dt + R.i = 0

which gives

di/dt = - (R/L).i

rearrange to give

(1/i) di = -(R/L) dt

Integrate to give

ln i = -(R/L).t + c , where c is the constant of integration.

hence i = e-(R/L).t + c

i = e-(R/L).t .ec

at t = 0 , i=i0 the initial current giving

i0 = ec

hence

i = i0. e-(R/L).t

This shows the current decaying exponentially and hence the magnetic field around the coil also decaying exponentially exactly as observed around the Earth.

The reason that evolutionary scientists reject this model is because the initial current would have had to be created requiring a Creator and as the magnetic field and hence the current is decaying exponentially then if we work back in time, the opposite is true giving such a huge electric current as to be impossible if we go back more than a 100 thousand years. This gives a very short time for the age of the Earth which is a veryinconvenient truth for evolutionists.

The decay of the magnetic field follows the second law of thermodynamics which is what would be expected.

The decay of the magnetic field presents problems for future generations as it protects us from some damaging radiation form the sun. However we look forward to the return of the Lord who will set things right on Earth.
